I have worked in the third sector for 20 years in a range of roles for national organisations.
My background is community arts and health, I studied Community Arts and Arts Management at Strathclyde University and have worked in health, arts, community development and youth work since graduating. I was previously the Head of Young People Programmes for Youth Scotland, the national youth work organisation.
My passions are working with people, creating positive opportunities, and developing projects that support and enhance, making a difference to people’s physical and mental health through the arts.
As the CEO for Hearts and Minds I support and lead an amazing team to ensure that we are delivering a high-quality national programme, developing effective and relevant partnerships, and reaching those that need our service the most.
I am extremely passionate about the work of the charity and believe whole heartedly in the power of Clowntherapy to bring joy, laughter and smiles to people at times when they need it most. Laughter builds resilience and promotes positive connections both vital for health and happiness.
I strive to work from a place of kindness and lead my team with this at the forefront.
